Armstrong Scholarship, 2018 Applications Available

The Armstrong Scholarship for St. Joseph the Worker is seeking applications from high school seniors for 2018. Applications can be obtained by contacting Janet Rathbone, Youth Minister, at the parish office (x110) or David Mastroieni, Scholarship Administrator at ddmconsulting@msn.com. The Armstrong Scholarship was established in 2013 by the Mastroieni family. Eligibility for the scholarship includes the following:

Applicant's family must be registered parish members
Applicant plans to attend a four-year university, a community college, or a trade school in fall of 2018 and has proof of acceptance
Applicant has a minimum GPA of 3.0
Applicant can articulate through a brief essay how her/his participation in various youth and ministry programs at St. Joseph the Worker has impacted his/her life so far.
Applications must be turned into Fr. Ted Prentice, Pastor, at the parish office no later than Thursday, March 22, 2018. Winners will be notified later this spring and announced at the First Annual Armstrong Scholarship Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the Parish Hall. Since 2013, the Armstrong Scholarship for St. Joseph the Worker Parish Foundation has awarded $17,000 to parish families.
