Edge is a Catholic youth ministry for early adolescents. At St. Joseph, middle school youth participate in a variety of fun and inspiring activities designed to meet their catechetical, educational, spiritual, emotional and social needs.

Edge approaches catechesis to middle school youth using a youth group model. Participants are brought into a large-group environment for gathering activities, teachings and prayer. In small groups, they break open the teachings and build solid, Christ-centered relationships that allow them to comfortably explore their Catholic faith and make it relevant to their everyday lives.

EDGE is held the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month throughout the year from 11:45am-12:45pm. On days when EDGE sessions are held, the 10:30am Mass will be a Youth Ministry Mass in which youth take on the primary roles of the liturgical ministry: as servers, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, choir members, and audio-visual managers. These Youth Ministry Masses form the entrance to the EDGE gatherings. Youth Ministry does not meet based on the school calendar but rather participates all year long on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.
