Eucharistic Ministers (Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion)
Eucharistic ministers serve as extraordinary ministers at daily and Sunday Masses. They assist the clergy in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ. Periodic training is available. Parishioners who have received Confirmation are eligible to serve. A master schedule is provided every three months (see below for current schedule with the Roster for Eucharist Ministers attached). All Eucharist Ministers should show the greatest reverence for the Most Holy Eucharist by their demeanor, attire and their willingness to serve.
Please check mark your name off on the schedule in the ministry room's 'Master Copy", get your cross to signify you are serving, arrive at lease 15 minutes before Mass. This gives you enough time to prepare reverently and participate in Mass when it begins. It will also let the sacristan know that you have arrived.
If you cannot serve at the assigned time, please find another minister to substitute for you. Each schedule has a list of subs attached.
