Angelyn Jauregui cantors at the Saturday, 4pm and Sunday 8:30am and 10:30am Masses. Angelyn received her music degree in Vocal Performance from Portland State University and is currently employed as a bilingual music editor at Oregon Catholic Press (OCP). At OCP she has sung on recordings and written music published by that organization. For the past year she has also cantored at St. Therese and is a regular guest at St. Peter as well as St. Anne where she covers weddings, funerals and other special services. In her younger years, Angelyn sang in the choirs of St. Mary's Cathedral, Holy Trinity, and Christ the King, as well as singing in Cantores in Ecclesia and Cappella Romana. As a daughter of a Mexican immigrant and having lived in Mexico, she is fluent in Spanish. She and her husband have six children. Angelyn brings to St. Joseph a unique set of skills with a wide and profound knowledge of bilingual liturgical music as well as a deep understanding of both Anglo and Hispanic traditions and customs.
