Lisa Velazquez is one of our Parish Co-Youth Ministers, along with Jason De Leon. She is majoring in Psychology and Spiritual Direction at Portland Community College and will be transferring to another university within a year. Lisa also works at a non-profit called, Community of Hope, which is a shelter for single parents who used to be homeless. There, she is as a resident specialist who assists people in finding resources, mentoring them, and attending to their needs. Lisa became a member of St. Joseph the Worker in 2018, helping the opening of Hispanic Ministries. Lisa brings pride of her Catholic identity and conversion testimony. As a teen, she experienced a loss of direction and can empathize with youth who are searching for their purpose in life.
